Sam McWilliams is the Director of Player Development at The Ranch. 

Sam was drafted in 2014 by the Phillies and spent time with the Diamondbacks, Rays, Mets, Padres and Reds. 

After retiring in 2022, Sam partnered with long time friend and MLB Agent, Tucker Ward and Ward Performance.

Sam plans to utilize his experience and passion for baseball to help other players excel in their careers – whatever their goals may be. His mission as Director of Player Development is to share the knowledge he's obtained over his time in the game, while also leaning on Tucker and his father, Turner Ward who played 12 years in the big leagues and is currently the hitting coach for the St Louis Cardinals.

We are offering personalized training for all of our athletes that focus on the fundamentals of strength, athleticism and mobility with specific routines for throwing and hitting development.
